The Incident in Forsyth County: A Car Chase and Arrest
In Forsyth County, Georgia, a rather unusual incident unfolded. A used car salesman was about to give a driver the key for a test drive when, unexpectedly, the man sped off before the salesman could even get in the car. This unexpected turn of events set off a chain of events that led to a high-speed chase and subsequent arrests.

Unraveling the Mystery of the Forsyth County Car Chase

Section 1: The Initial Incident

The Platinum Used Cars salesman, in a rush to recover the vehicle, hopped into another car and began chasing after the Mercedes Benz GLE 43 AMG and the Chrysler 300 that had dropped the man off. It was a tense moment as the salesman tried to keep up with the speeding cars. This incident not only shocked the local community but also raised questions about the safety and security of used car transactions. It highlighted the need for better measures to ensure the safety of both customers and salesmen.

Section 2: The Chase and Tracking

As the salesman lost sight of the cars, he didn't give up. He immediately called the sheriff's office, and through the use of GPS tracking in the Mercedes, deputies were able to track the vehicle to the area of the Interstate 85 and Interstate 285 junction. This technological advancement played a crucial role in the investigation, allowing the deputies to quickly locate the cars and bring the situation under control. It demonstrated the power and importance of modern tracking systems in law enforcement.

Section 3: The Arrests and Discoveries

Deputies found both cars at a RaceTrac on Rock Chapel Road and arrested Winston French and Donny Myers. French was driving the Chrysler, while Myers was behind the wheel of the Mercedes.During the search of the Mercedes, investigators made some startling discoveries. They found tools used to remove GPS equipment and a jammer plugged into the cigarette lighters. These findings added another layer of complexity to the case and raised more questions about the intentions of the suspects. It was later learned that the Chrysler was stolen in Columbus, Ohio in 2023 and had been involved in an armed robbery in LaGrange on October 30. The suspects in the armed robbery matched French and Myers, further strengthening the case against them. Both men are now facing serious charges, with Myers being turned over to DeKalb County EMS workers and French being booked into the Forsyth County Jail. This case serves as a reminder of the importance of law enforcement and the need to hold criminals accountable for their actions.
