The Worcester Police Department's actions on Friday night demonstrate their commitment to addressing the issue of illegal car shows. Officers responded to a gathering in the parking lot of the old Dick's Sporting Goods on Lincoln Street, where they observed skid marks and tire tracks across the lot, indicating reckless driving and potential danger to the public. In a swift response, the police arrested 53 individuals, including one minor, for trespassing.

Tracking Down the Next Gathering

The police's efforts did not stop there. After dispersing the initial gathering, officers received reports of a "large gathering" of cars on New Bond Street. While many of the vehicles sped off, the police were able to record license plate numbers, which led them to the location of the next planned gathering at 330 Southwest Cutoff. At this secondary location, the police found more than 30 vehicles gathered behind a building and proceeded to arrest an additional 53 people, including one juvenile, for trespassing.
